Anxious Patients

Many people are nervous about coming to the dentist and often avoid regular check-ups and treatment. This means that their dental health may suffer and deteriorate. Dr Samantha Lai Sing and her team are very understanding and supportive of patients with phobias and anxiety, and welcome them to come in and discuss ways to help them feel more comfortable and overcome their fears of coming to the dentist.

GENERAL ANAESTHESIA

Dr Lai Sing is qualified to provide dental treatment under general anesthesia at a local day surgery. General anesthesia is administered and monitored by an anesthetist, which causes patients to become unconscious and completely unaware during their dental treatment.

CONSCIOUS SEDATION

Dr Lai Sing is able to provide dental treatment under conscious sedation. Conscious sedation (or intravenous sedation) is another safe and effective technique for patients who are anxious or nervous. During conscious sedation patients are in a drowsy state, while aware of what is happening around them, they are very comfortable and relaxed.
